We collect your first name and email address only if you choose to give them to us through a form on this site. The text you paste into the Legit Job Checker never reaches our servers. We do not sell or rent your information to anyone.
The checker runs entirely inside your own browser. The job posting, email, or chat message you paste is read by JavaScript on the page you are viewing, scored against a list of known scam patterns, and displayed back to you. It is never uploaded to us, never stored, never logged, and never shared with any third party. Close or refresh the page and the text is gone.
This also means we cannot recover a report for you later, and we cannot see what you checked.
When you submit a form on this site, we collect the first name and email address you enter. We use them for one purpose. To send you the free guide or report you requested and related follow up messages about finding legitimate remote work.
Our email is managed and delivered through AWeber, an email service provider. Your name and email are stored on their systems under their own privacy terms. Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link. You can opt out at any time and your address is removed from the list.
Like most websites, our hosting provider records standard technical data when a page is requested, such as IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, and time of visit. This is used to keep the site running and to understand which pages are useful. We may also use privacy conscious analytics to count page views in aggregate. None of this is used to identify you personally.

This site is intended for adults looking for work. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, contact us and we will delete it.
This site is served over an encrypted connection. Contact information you send us is stored with our email provider under their security measures. No system is perfect, so we keep what we collect to the minimum: a first name and an email address.
